Frenchy’s Chaurice a Creole Hot Sausage & Shrimp Skewers

1⁄2 teaspoon paprika

1 tablespoons salt

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 ea. Green, Red & Yellow Bell Pepper

1-Red Onion


1 box Zatarain’s Yellow Rice

8 wooden skewers

1pound 21-25 shrimp shelled

3pounds Frenchy’s Chaurice

Soak skewers for 30 minutes
Salt raw shrimp and coat with paprika & olive oil.
In large hot skillet with vegetable oil cook Frenchy’s Chaurice 15 minutes
Cook rice according to package directions.
Cut red, green & yellow bells in triangular pieces coat with olive oil & salt
Cut red onions in wedges coat with olive oil &salt
Cut Frenchy’s Chaurice diagonally 2 inches long,.
Begin to thread each skewer with Frenchy’s Chaurice , red onion wedge, green bell, shrimp, 2nd piece of Frenchy’s Chaurice, red &yellow bell pieces next, ending with a shrimp.
Heat in 375 degree oven for 12 minutes or until shrimps are cooked, also great on a outdoor grill or smoker, for 30 minutes or until shrimps are cooked
Serve over a bed of hot Zatarain’s Yellow Rice.
